Beer Advocate Secret Santa '10

• Box should include: minimum of 144 oz of quality beer, quality is more important than quantity for all secret gift BIFs. To the best of your ability, beers should be from your targets wants of favorite styles. If your target has provided a "letter to Santa" it may also be used to guide you in the beer selection.
• All participants should review and revise their wants lists during the sign up period, please fill your wants list out as much as possible. In addition to rare beers you may want, please help your Santa out by trying to include a few of your favorites that are not that hard to find.
• Box should also include a nice beer related gift valued in the $10 - $20 range and some Christmas candy or other seasonal snacks. Gift should not be entirely composed of freebie Brewery schwag, but such items may be included.
• Box should be sent no later than December 15 to give it plenty of time to arrive before Christmas. If your target has travel times during which arrival of the box should be avoided, that information will be provided.
• All participants should have at least 5 (total in any combination) trades or BIFs completed. Some newer participants or participants for who there have been questions regarding their trade history may be allowed in with a "provisional" status. Provisional participants will be asked to:
  • provide the name of a more experienced trader who is willing to "sponsor" him. A sponsor is responsible for fulfilling the shipment if the provisional trader fails, OR
  • ship during the first 8 days of the shipping window and provide a tracking number once they have shipped. Santas who are shipping to these provisional participants will be asked to hold their shipment until the provisional participant has provided proof of shipping.
• Shipping window - November 29 - December 15
